Vermont!!

 There are 3 HUGE apple orchards in Vermont. They are all very fresh and red. They grow 1 million apples in Vermont every year!The apples sell in every single market in Vermont. At the market they sell 300,000 bags of apples every year! there are 200,000 Apple trees in Vermont. Apples are very, very important to Vermont. 

 

VERMONT’S CLIMATE

In Vermont they have 2 seasons. Huh?Winter and summer.The temperature is ether really cold 🥶 or normal(50).You never know what can happen in Vermont When it comes to the weather.There could be blizzard snow storms heavy heavy rain tornadoes everything!It is the seventh coldest state in the US!The lowest temperature ever in Vermont in- 59°F, in the highest temperature ever is 110°F!The average snow per year is 95 inches! Sometimes it can be below freezing for five months!

TOUR OF VERMONT

In the north west corner of Vermont you’ll see lake champlain. And in the north east corner you’ll see lake Memphremagog?Also as you can see on the south part of Lake Champlain there is a shipwreck that you can visit with scuba diving gear! South of the shipwreck you can also see green mountain national forest which is a very very cool place and as you can see it takes up more than 1/4 of the whole entire state!

  • Montpelier has a population of fewer than 9,000, which makes it the smallest state Capitol in the U.S. population wise.
  • Montpelier is the only U.S. Capitol without a McDonalds
  • Until 1996, Vermont was the only state without a Walmart
  • The 30 president, Calvin Coolidge was the only president born on the Fourth of July, and he was born in Vermont.

MAPLE SYRUP

  • They have to get 40 gallons of sap to produce 1 gallons of maple syrup
  • The state, Vermont produces 5.5% of the maple syrup in the world, which makes it the most in the U.S.
  • December 17 is national maple syrup day.
  • A gallon of maple syrup is 11 pounds
  • The maple season is very short, it starts in May, and lasts anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks.
  • They let the sap sit from the end of maple season, until July 1st or 2nd.
  • Vermont produces 2 million gallons of maple syrup every year.
  • Maple trees are at least 40 years old when they produce sap.

    This is a great post about a very interesting and beautiful state! What made you pick Vermont? Have you been there? When I lived in Massachusetts, we took lots of weekend trips to Vermont and loved it.
